Bought a bike online on Saturday and had it turn up today. Very impressed as I live in the Highlands. Box was a little banged up but the bike has been packaged well so it didn't matter. No issues at all with the bike so far, very happy
Trek bike delivery
The process of buying my bike online was easy and hassle free. However problems arose with the paid for "Next day delivery". I received notification from Evans cycles that my bike would be delivered next day.
I had no notification of time of delivery by the courier company. I contacted Evans cycles via live chat. I received information that my bike was with the courier company. My bike did not get delivered on the day specified. I was promised a refund of delivery fee which I have as yet not received.
In summary Evans cycles website easy to use. Evans cycles staff very helpful, up to a point. Courier company not great. Awaiting delivery fee refund.

My shorts arrived in good time and condition for the recent warm spell. Pricewise, they were about £20 cheaper than on the maker's own website; so not bad!

This is where the problem started…
Got no notification from couriers to say when bike was going to be delivered.
Had a estimated date from you for the 4th of July.My wife found out which couriers were delivering, rang them up on the 5th and they said it would be delivered on the 6th..,
Stil no email,text nothing from them.
I got notification from them say it had been delivered…Didn’t know where to.
I re checked my order when I got home from work,and it said returned to sender.
Anyway I finally received my bike which is Brilliant, you just need to change couriers or tell them to notify people on delivery a lot better..,
Poor Attention to Detail
I knew the bike needed basic construction, but the whole bike needed attention. Very badly put together. Gears rub and not sure how to get this corrected.

I returned a faulty item to Evans back…
I returned a faulty item to Evans back in March and was told that I would receive a refund for the postage. Four months and five complaint cases later and still no refund of the postage.
They say they have made a BACS payment, that has not been received but are unable to provide any evidence.
I would advise you not to purchase anything from Evans online, as their customer service is non existent.

Absolutely useless evans cycles I…
Absolutely useless evans cycles I ordered mountain bike 3 days later was contacted by courier saying it will be delivered on a date . Then never arrived. Then courier said confirm my address. Then never heard from couriers again. So contacted evans they took a week to get back to me . There customer service is terrible. Then they said they would have to do an investigation into the courier. I contact them saying it isn’t my problem if parcel is lost . I told them to send another bike out next day delivery. They said they can not do that or give me a refund intill there investigation is done. I don’t think so contacted PayPal had money refund in 3 days . PayPal were brilliant.

Some good deals to be had but delivery frustrating
Some good deals to be had but the "store" support is frustrating. The staff seem competent enough but with very limited stock in store to test sizes or indeed to buy, I struggle to see the point of the store! Ordering online and delivering to store seems pointless. It takes longer than home delivery and then carries a mandatory "build" fee of £25 to attach pedals and turn handlebars???? If you can get a good enough bargain then delivery to home and avoid the store.
